We’re delighted to announce that we have been voted Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year by customers in both the Keighley and Bingley Sainsbury’s stores.
Three local charities were shortlisted in each store, and following the online and in-store vote that was held in June, it was revealed we received the highest number of votes. We’ll now be working with staff during the coming year to raise funds that will help us support people across Bradford facing serious mental health challenges, and raise our profile across the district so that more people know who we are and what we do.
We’ll be kicking off with 2 days at Sainsbury’s Keighley on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th August when we’ll be providing customers with information about our services, and fundraising too. This will include a raffle with the chance to win a fantastic hamper comprising a garden planter, produced in our Woodwork skill shop, packed with tasty treats supplied by Sainsbury’s.
“We’re really grateful to everyone who voted for us and to Sainsbury’s for this great opportunity. We’re looking forward to working with the staff in the stores to get the word out about what we do, raise funds to make sure we can continue to support people who need our help, and hopefully provide some exciting opportunities for our service users”
