Therapeutic walking and talking group

Come along to our weekly group led by a qualified Therapist and Peer Support Worker

Walking and talking can help you to:

  • be in nature and get some fresh air
  • explore your thoughts and feelings
  • experience a safe, non-judgemental space

When: Wednesdays at 10am for 90 minutes.

From September to December (12 weeks). *Except for 30th October.

Where: The starting point is in Saltaire, with a rotation of three possible walks including through a park, down a canal path, and to Shipley.

Led by a qualified Therapist and Peer Support Worker ‘walk and talk’ you can share your experiences of mental health or other challenges in a safe environment.

It is an opportunity to meet people but with the added benefit of a therapeutic angle, the option of building a support network and the potential for 1-2-1 counselling moving forward if needed.

Walks will focus on using nature as a coping strategy for better mental wellbeing, how to identify and overcome stress points and techniques for self-care including mindfulness, and explore thoughts and feelings in more detail.
