Working for us

Working for The Cellar Trust isn’t about having a job – it’s about changing and saving lives. We are a multi-award mental health charity that supports people across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, delivering brilliant services to give over 12,000 people a year a helping hand with their mental health. Whatever your role is you will have the chance to make your mark and see the impact of your work.

We are a 120+ strong team of diverse, passionate staff and volunteers and our aim is simple. We are working towards a future where good mental health and well-being is prevalent across all our communities. We have a diverse range of roles requiring a range variety of skills and experience but we are united by our values and our passion for mental health.

You can expect a busy, energetic place of work and a team that pulls together to help each other out whatever their role is. Every person forms an essential part of the jigsaw and makes an essential important contribution. Working for a charity comes with plenty of challenges but lots of fun and the ability to make a huge difference.

Our of our values is Partnership and most of our services are part of integrated teams working with the NHS, local authority and other local charities. This means that our teams are based everywhere from in our local hospitals to GP practices and Community Mental Health Teams, as well as being out and about in the community. This means that when you work for us you also get a great opportunity to learn from other sectors and professions too.

We are a lovely team (even if we do say so ourselves), and we’re always on the lookout for talented individuals who are passionate about mental health to join us, and that’s where you come in.

We are proud that most of our colleagues have their own lived experience of mental health problems and the majority of our client-facing staff are Peer Support Workers

Since providing peer support at the The Cellar Trust in various roles, I have become more confident and found a purpose and a passion in life. My outlook and aspirations in life have changed and I have gained back my ‘drive’. My anxieties have lowered and my confidence has grown.”
